For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Here is a very
important question for you to answer
If you died today...
Do you have the absolute assurance...
That you would go to Heaven?
If your answer is "No"
The information below from God's Holy Word, the Bible, will show you how you
can have that assurance.
God had a plan when He created the
world in which we live. He also had a plan when He made YOU. The most wonderful
experience that can happen to you is to discover and participate in God's plan
for your life.
Bible Truth #1
God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life.
God loves you. John 3:16 "For
God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth
in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
God has a plan for your life. John
10:10 "I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more
abundantly." This means a life full of meaning and purpose.
The Bible demonstrates the fact that
God loves you and wants you to enjoy the abundant life. Why is it that most people
do not experience God's love and live the abundant life?
Bible Truth #2
Man has sinned and sin has separated
him from God.
Isaiah 59:2 "But your iniquities
have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you..."
God did not make man as a puppet
on a string to love and obey him automatically. He gave him a will and freedom of
choice. Man chose to disobey God and go his own self-willed, sinful way. Every one
of us, you and me included, has chosen to disobey God in many ways.
Ecclesiastes 7:20 "...for
there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not."
Romans 3:23 "...for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God;"
Sin is missing the mark of perfection; falling short of God's plan for your
life and results in spiritual death.
Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death..." this is a separation
from God in Hell.
Bible Truth #3
Man's self efforts cannot repair the damage created by sin.
Man has attempted to bridge the gulf
which separates himself from God by doing good works living moral lives... devising
profound philosophies... even being religious, but he has always failed.
Titus 3:5 "Not by works
of righteousness which we have done"
There is only one remedy for the
problem of Sin and Separation.
Bible Truth #4
The death of Jesus
Christ on the cross is God's remedy for man's sin.
1 Peter 3:18 "For Christ
also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us
to God"
When Jesus died on the Cross, He
paid for all our sins and bridged the gulf that separated us from God. God's
love is greater than man's sin.
Romans 5:8 "But God commendeth
(proved) his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died
for us."
Jesus died a humiliating, agonizing
death. But He didn't remain in the grave. He rose again that we might have a
personal relationship with God. The gulf created by our sin has been bridged by
Jesus' death and resurrection.
Romans 10:9 "That if thou
shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus. and shalt believe in thine heart that
God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."
It is not enough to discover that
God loves you and has a plan for your life... that man is a sinner ... and Christ
is God's remedy for sin...
Bible Truth #5
You must personally
receive Christ as your Lord and Saviour.
Receiving Christ is as simple as
taking these four steps:
- Realize your sin has separated you from God.
- Be willing to turn from your sin to God (this is called repentance).
- Believe that Jesus died for your sins and that He arose in victory over death.
- Invite Jesus Christ to take control of your life.
Trusting Christ is more than mentally
recognizing Him as the Son of God or having an emotional experience. You must receive
Him as your Lord and Saviour by faith.
John 1:12 "But as many as
received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that
believe on His name."
Christ's Invitation
Revelation 3:20 "Behold,
I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear My voice, and open the door, I will
come in to him."
The Sinner's
Prayer
If the following prayer expresses
the desire of your heart You can pray this prayer and Jesus Christ will come into
your life as He has promised.
"Lord Jesus, I am a sinner!
I now ask you to forgive me of all my sins. I believe that you died on a cross for
me and then rose alive on the third day. I believe that through your sacrifice and
resurrection, I have the hope of eternal life. I give you my life right now to do
with as you wish. I want you to come into my heart and be Lord of my life. Thank
you Jesus for your free gift of salvation."
God's Promise
Romans 10:13 "For whosoever
shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
If you trusted Christ as Saviour,
you have an exciting life of spiritual growth ahead of you.
Ways To Grow Spiritually
1. Share with others the commitment
you have made.
Acts 1:8 "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon
you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and
in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth."
2. Be baptized.
Baptism identifies you with Christ.
Acts 8:36-38 says "And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain
water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?
And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered
and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. And he commanded the chariot
to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch;
and he baptized him."
3. Study the Bible.
The Bible will reveal God's plan
for your life. II Timothy 2:15 "Study to show thyself approved unto God, a
workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."
4. Attend Church regularly.
Participate in the worship services
and Christian fellowship. Hebrews 10:25 "Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves
together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more,
as ye see the day approaching."
That all important
question again
If you died today...
Do you have the absolute assurance...
That you would go to Heaven?
1 John 5:13 "These things
have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may
know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of
God."
