Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee.
The Main Auditorium
To say that God has blessed Gantt Street Baptist Church is an understatement. We
have been blessed not only spiritually but also physically. God has blessed us with
a beautiful church building and surrounding property.
The promise of Hebrews 6:14 ("… Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee.") was fulfilled again on May 31, 2011 when the congregation of Gantt Street Baptist Church moved into its third auditorium since the church was established in 1953. After prayerful consideration of several building options to alleviate our crowded facilities, we chose to append a new structure to the right side of our Family Life Center, aesthetically blending it so as to give the appearance of oneness. The result is a beautiful 26,267 square-foot facility that includes an 842-seat auditorium with a balcony, spacious foyer, 78-person choir loft, expanded nursery and toddler facilities, numerous Sunday School classrooms, a 63,000 square foot parking lot and live streaming video capability from the church website for the three weekly preaching services.
The Family Life Center
Our 17,000 square foot Family Life Center facility houses a gymnasium, fellowship
hall, full serving kitchen, numerous classrooms, and even an apartment (known as
a "prophet's chamber") for housing guests who visit our church. Our youth programs
make full use of these multi-purpose facilities.
Our Family Life Center was awarded a "Building of the Year" award in 1998 from the
Systems Builders Association both at a regional and national level. Further, the
design was recognized nationally by Varco-Pruden in the Recreational Facility category
by being placed in the 2000 VP Hall of Fame.
Our History
The church was established in 1953 as Emmanuel Baptist Church located in Cayce, South Carolina. Twenty-six years later in 1979, the church name was changed to Gantt Street Baptist Church.
In this same year, Pastor Gene Rowell assumed responsibility of the pastorate. The church has grown since that time from six faithful members to our present attendance.
We have been privileged to witness a goodly number who have been saved by the grace
of God, for which we glorify "The Lord of the harvest" because only He can bring
forth the increase.

Our Future
While the future direction of the church may be uncertain, we nevertheless are confident
of the fact that He who holds the future in His hand is "able to do exceedingly,
abundantly, above all that we ask or think". Therefore, we look to Him to direct
our course and commit ourselves "to be content" regardless if the future leads us
to the mountain top or through the valley.
