THE LAST DAYS

Matt. 24:37-39

Morning Meditation 4/6/2015

"But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be."

It is impossible for us as believers in these days not to see the indicators that the Scriptures place as marks that will exist in the world in the last days. First of all,

THERE IS AN INCREASED DECLINE IN MORALS

This is illustrated in Genesis 6 where it is said in verse 5, "And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually." Let's notice the following:

1. God knows, and is constantly observing, man's denial of His authority to say what is right and what is wrong. Men today think they are free to live as they choose without God. Deuteronomy 13:18 says, "When thou shalt hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep all his commandments which I command thee this day, to do that which is right in the eyes of the LORD thy God." God watches man, He sees man, and will bring him to judgment for his sins.

2. The words, “And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth,” indicates that the degree of sin can increase so that it becomes intolerable to God.

3. God looks beyond the outward and sees the origin of sin in man. “. . . that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.” Man is rotten to the core. Before salvation can be experienced man must face the fact of his sin and agree with God. This is not negotiable.

4. God knows what man is thinking and holds him accountable. Romans 2:16, "In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel."

THERE WAS IN NOAH'S DAY A PARTY SPIRIT THAT CONSUMED THEM

For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark.

1. It was a constant holiday in which man invented things for entertainment where he could consume it on his lusts.

2. The days of Noah will be repeated as an indication of the end of this age.

May we be challenged to life godly in this age of grace and be ready for the rapture of all believers.

May the Lord bless you.

In Christ
